Music to your big ears

Bloody heck! Not done a blog for ages? I turned 27 the other day so thought “hello, that thing!” Here’s a quick one about songs’n that. Hopefully you’ll think it’s totes amaze and not nahz-bob-ya-gayz. That’s me using and then improvising trendy vernacular. Is the playlist I’ve chosen typical of a 27 year old? Probably.

Deformed Chocolate – refrain or complain?

Now, I’m not one to kick-off easily but when I opened my Cadbury’s Twirl to find one of the delicious chocolately sticks to be freakish and moreover inadequately small I decided to venture on a quest for vengance and compensation…

Mother’s Day Tea?

Sunday April 3rd – Momma’s Day is fast approaching. So, if you’ve got nowt planned, maybe a spot of posh tea and cake will provide the necessary razzle dazzle for your Mumsykins?

I love cake. I mean, it’s ace. We used to have ‘pudding’ every day after dinner when I was little. It meant that even if the dinner itself was guff, I’d always look forward to a Bakewell tart, Half-Moon Cake or on the bad days, a Wagon Wheel.

So as a Coventry born lad born to a ‘working’ family of french fancies and no frills kitkats, I thought this would be a fun class ascension. Hearing about Afternoon Tea AKA ‘High Tea’ – a good old English, decadent adventure, perfect for a lazy Saturday or Sunday lunch – I thought “By jove! I’ll ave some of that!”.

Climbing: what could possibly go wrong?

I saw 127 Hours the other day. I thought I’d write about it and include images from the film which might be a bit illegal. Ooh danger! Read on. Don’t worry, it won’t spoil it… too much.

Danny Boyle is hoping to make it two Oscars in a row with this true story about mountain climber Aaron Rolston whose arm was trapped under a boulder for five days before he eventually cut it off with a blunt blade. It stars James Franco. Is it bloody great, or just bloody?

It’s my Birthday!

In a delicious twist, I shall give the gift of a TV sketch to YOU for my 26th Birthday.

I wrote for BBC TWO’s Unwrapped with Miranda Hart. It was broadcasted on the actual telly for real. At a normal hour. For real people to watch. Serious. Mega lolz.
