Bob Versus Two Girls One Cup

Fancy a cuppa?

Today, I take on the most infamous viral internet clip known to mankind. It’s grotesque, it’s explicitly vile, it’s vomit-inducing. My mission? To not be sick. Could I handle it?

If you don’t already know, Two Girls One Cup is a short video clip whereby two ladies are said to engage in some quasi-sexual activity on camera before doing something unspeakably rotten. Here’s how we got on watching it…

I won’t pretend this was a planned event, it wasn’t. Housemate Nick had his laptop downstairs when Jodie and her boyfriend Dan stumbled in a bit drunk, up for silliness. Nick was looking through youtube videos of someone who I’d not heard of called Helen Flanagan. Click the link. She’s a soap actress who from Coronation Street who seems to get her cleavage out an awful lot and has accumulated a massive following on youtube.  She’s gorgeous but I wonder how she feels being so demeaned by the writers of the show that she’s now notorious for appearing skimpily dressed in all her scenes? What will she do when she’s lost her looks and wants a proper acting job? Kill herself? Yeah, probably.

So, I was feeling rather daring and so to take it up a notch from Helen Flanagan tribute videos I suggested we all watch 2 Girls 1 Cup and film ourselves. It was really tough time finding the bloody thing through google as most sites lead to spam adverts or parody videos or reactions (which I’ll talk about later) but after much searching we eventually found it.

But Bob, what is 2 Girls 1 Cup?

It is the unofficial nickname of the trailer for Hungry Bitches, a scat-fetish pornographic film. Two women start getting it on then one defecates into a cup… if that isn’t enough… they then take turns consuming the excrement… AND THEN regurgitate it into each other’s mouths… I know, it’s unthinkably wrong. Better watch it then hadn’t I? Course I’m not watching it alone, cue Nick and Jode!

Reactions!

The reaction to the video is perhaps more well known than the video itself. Type it into to youtube and you’ll not find the clip itself – it’s banned from most obvious video streaming sites – but peoples reactions to it. And they’re good! Someone filmed their Grandma Marlene watching it for the first time and there’s lots more funny responses that make the idea of the video fascinating. I also like the episode where Family Guy referenced the video; it really shows how far the viral has gone from hearsay to viral phenomenon.

It’s apparently been slated by the media for being the worst possible use of video sharing on the internet. To an extent I agree, sites like tooshocking.com, which is a ‘You’ve Been Framed’ collection of uploaded videos but offensively gruesome. I think the difference with 2 Girls 1 Cup is the focus on people’s reaction rather than the video itself – an accidental side-effect of the it’s popularity – which is far more entertaining than the clip itself.

We’re at the stage where 2 Girls 1 Cup is a seminal point in everyones lives, especially young blokes. It’s must-see because it’s so talked about, almost rite of passage. It’s a real experience, if only to say you’ve seen it and can share in the disgusted awe of what has been witnessed.

It’s interesting also that myself, Nick and Jodie expected worse – despite it making us feel physically unwell when viewing! We’re dubious as to whether it’s all as genuine as it portrays to be too. I’m not saying they used CGI but… well, you’ll have to see it for yourself won’t you. Or not. Don’t.

By the way, I CAN send you the link to the video if you really REALLY want. But I don’t recommend it. It’s sick.

Which housemate seemed to suffer the most? Was Nick cool? Was Jodie’s stomach turning? Or was 2 girls 1 cup, 1 cup and 2 girls too much for Bob? You decide! VOTE
